Nice, 12 September 1940
My very dear Andre,
I received your letter, and it made me very very happy.
I haven't received the notification from the bank yet. I even went in person, but they haven't received anything yet. It doesn't go that fast.
But as soon as I receive it, I will let you know immediately. Concerning the other things you asked me, I will respond in my next letter. But don't send anything until I have confirmed that I have received that remittance.
I hope you are well. I am in good health, hoping to start working soon. I worked for two days in a movie theater, and between two showings I did my singing show. It was very successful.
As soon as I have more news, I will write to you again. I thank you with all my heart.
A big hug from your sister
H.
