Acting Assistant Director and Chief to George F. Lamb, Bureau of Investigation, NY, NY, February 11, 1920.
Significant content:
"This woman, who was a close associate of both Goldman and Berkman, is undoubtedly known to you. She has been traveling throughout the country ostensibly for the purpose of securing subscriptions to radical magazines . . . ."
Topic for discussion:
The agent's using the phrase "ostensibly for the purpose" suggests that Eve really has some other subversive purpose in traveling around the US. What would that be? Organizing for some left party?
