Gay Soldiers Recommended for Honorable Discharges

A special committee of the U.S. House of Representatives issues a report recommending that military personnel who had served in World War II and who had been discharged dishonorably should have their discharges upgraded to honorable. The committee’s report explicitly mentioned gay dischargees as being among those who had been treated unfairly and who deserved to have their service to their country during wartime recognized.
