The Lesbian Herstory Archives Button Collection exhibit was created through the collaboration of OutHistory and the Lesbian Herstory Archives. The buttons were scanned in TIFF format and then converted into JPEG for web browsing. The subject terms in the metadata were assigned based on the Thesaurus for Graphic Materials (TGM). Customization was made for lesbian terms and vocabularies. This online exhibit was created by OutHistory intern Kam Yan (Teresa) Lee, under the supervision of the OutHistory Project Coordinator and the Lesbian Herstory Archives.
