Production History: Comrades and Lovers

Past Productions
"Comrades and Lovers" was produced by Poets' Theater, Cambridge, MA, 1992; by Bailiwick Theater, Chicago, 1992; and by SAME, Atlanta, 1991.

Public readings were presented by the English Department, University of Kansas, Lawrence, 1991; by 3-Dollar Bill Theater, New York City (with Al Carmines as Whitman), 1990; and by the Fund for Human Dignity, in New York City, in 1989.

Future Productions
The existing script is formulated as a theater piece for the stage, but Katz would like to see it produced as an unusual, poetic documentary film, with the best professional actors.

Since the piece focuses on an American poet and English writer, Katz believes that "Comrades and Lovers" will be of interest to American and English audiences, in particular.
