Annual Reminder Participants
Annual Reminder Participants
This list is based on the research of Bob Skiba, the Curator at the John J Wilcox Jr. LGBT Archives at the William Way Community Center and the Curator of the 2015 National Constitution Center exhibit "Speaking Out for Equality: The Constitution, Gay Rights and the Supreme Court." Most of the names are taken from the Mattachine Society of New York’s list of individuals who rode on the buses that the organization chartered to transport people from New York to Philadelphia for the Independence Hall demonstrations. The lists can be found in the Craig Rodwell Collection at the New York Public Library. This has been supplemented by individuals identified in Annual Reminder photographs, oral histories, and first-person accounts.
